Delete your Here account
Two ways: in the app, or by email if you've already removed the app.
In the app — the fast way
- Open Here and tap You (bottom right).
- Under Privacy & data, tap Close your account.
- Read what stays and what goes, then confirm.
Deletion starts immediately and completes within 30 days.
Without the app
If you've deleted the app, email support@ihere.ca with the phone number you signed in with. Before deleting anything we'll verify the number is yours — usually with a text-message code — so nobody can delete your account but you. Same timeline: completed within 30 days.
What gets deleted
- Your profile and your photos.
- Your presence and venue history.
- Your matches. Conversations end; the other person can still read the transcript until it expires on its own schedule (about 30 days after a conversation ends).
- Your push token and sign-in data.
What we keep, and why
- Reports and blocks involving your account. These are safety records: they're what keeps two people apart after one of them asked for that. They're never visible to other users.
- Moderation records, where we're required to keep them — for example, evidence attached to a report, kept about 90 days, or records we must retain by law.
Closing your account can't be undone. Signing in later with the same phone number starts a new account from scratch — nothing comes back.
Questions about deletion, or a request we haven't covered here (like access to your data): privacy@ihere.ca. More in the privacy policy.
